Christmas: the most wonderful time of the year!
Christmas is around the corner! Just a couple of months left to cuddle up and watch classic Christmas movies, chill by the fire while enjoying hot chocolate amidst the glittering decoration around us.
Finding these little joys in what feels like a crazy busy time too, is what makes it so wonderful.
It’s also the most magical time of the year to take family photos. A Christmas photoshoot is the best way to celebrate the holidays with your loved ones. Lovely family pictures can turn into wonderful Christmas cards and cherished moments.
The fairy forest is ready to welcome you and your family for your photoshooting!
Location
After a nice 5 minutes walk through the forest (suitable for strolley) we reach a very nice area with Christmas trees. I really enjoy these few minutes walking with my clients, to catch up with the ones who return and getting to know new ones.
Older kids normally help me carrying the decoration, I have a wooden vintage cart and they are always very happy to drive it. Little ones are busy finding some treasures like pine cones and babies feel very warm in mum’s arms.
Timing
I am not fan of mini sessions, it’s not my way to work, I really can’t meet your family, connect with the kids and take nice photos in less than 20 minutes.
I really love to take time so I count normally at least 45 minutes for a Christmas session. Sometimes it can take longer, sometimes less, it depends a lot on the mood of the kids. A session started in bad mood can turn into a very successful one but it needs: Time!
My sessions are planned between 2:30 to 4:00pm, it depends on the month, days get shorter very quickly and the light disappears quite soon.
Dates
I start the Christmas shooting middle of October when the weather is still warm and dry and finish beginning of December. I always advise to book in advance; unplanned things can happen and it’s a period where kids often get sick plus the weather doesn’t always play in our favour so we have enough time to reschedule if necessary.
Outfits
We are outdoor, surrounded by nature, all earth tones are good and red is of course the Christmas color by excellence!
Once the booking is settled you will receive an outfit guide with useful tips and lots of examples. I also have few clothes for girls from 2-10 years that you can borrow.
Tulle skirts are normally girls’ favourites.
Christmas Packages available
I offer two packages:
Small package: 5 digital photos jpeg high res. CHF 150.-
Any Additional photo: 30.-
Medium package: 10 digital photos jpeg high res. CHF 250.-
Any Additional photo: 20.-
- Prices up to 5 family members, for each additional family member: Chf 30.-
- With both packages 1 photo gratis of your choice if you let me publish (social media, webpage, participation in photography competitions) some photos of your gallery.
- If you choose the small one and once you see the gallery you want to add more than 4 photos you are welcome to upgrade to the next package.
Christmas Sets available:
We can take photos in two scenarios: in the little path and surrounded by the Christmas trees.
Christmas Props
I normally take with me a few vintage props to enrich the scene, the location is already a beautiful natural frame for your photos.

Every year I have new things; this year for example we will count on a very beautiful vintage horn sled, suitable for kids and families (it’s a very big one) and a rattan rocking reindeer.
For babies I have a rattan bed or nest or a big rattan crib; for kids benches and vintage luggages to sit on, a little rocking chair, wood chairs, rocking horses and of course a Bambi.
We can define it together depending on the mood you would like to give to your photos, your outfits colors, etc.
Frequently asked questions
Is a Christmas photoshooting suitable for families?
Of course, it’s the perfect time to be together and get that magical Christmas card!
Extended families are also very welcome!
Do you also take photos of babies without parents?
For babies I have a little nest, or a rattan crib if they can sit alone.
A fluffy and warm flokati will keep them warm.
Are dogs allowed?
Of course! You can take your pet in all of my photoshootings!
What happens if it rains or my kid falls sick?
No problem, we reschedule to a suitable date for both of us. About the weather, the session can be moved just in case of rain and wind.
Clouds and snow do not affect the shooting. Last year I had baby twins who enjoyed a photoshooting with snow, so adorable!
How can I book?
To book the session an upfront deposit of 50.- required on the booking date. The payment can be done by bank transfer or Twint.
Do you work on weekends?
Yes and for Christmas photoshooting there is no additional fee.
Can we organize the shooting in another location?
Of course! I am always very open to any suggestion. I just need to know it advance to check if the location and light are suitable.

The geographic area covered with the above package prices includes just Eschenbach (LU).
If we agree any location farther away, travel expenses will be charged at standard rate CHF 0.70/km.
